On the first day of school with parents at the door
Young ones took their seats and sent parents
In retreat to their cars and jobs
Noticing and wondering.

How could she dress that way?
It was embarrassing to say the least.
Upside downs should have be right side up;
Fit could benefit by slight decrease.

Why we wondered did she sew
Novelty as such to know
Imperfections?

(I hear she modeled and spoke of her dress
To greet apprehensive, exploring youth
To let them know that they were there
In a place where in trying they might err.)

I loved it! Poetry can be born from the most unusual of occurrences! I also enjoyed the message inherent within!

Hope you are keeping well, Dear Sadie!

ice,
Thank you for your flattering comment.  I'm glad you liked it.

Sunshine,
Yes, I agree that examples help create concrete pictures... Thanks for your challenge.  I'll try.
                    ~Sadie

iliana,
Amazing lessons we learn from just watching.  Of course, you know that-it was you I watched among others. Hm... Did I learn a lot!
               ~Sadie

Earth Angel,
I agree poetry can come from the strangest
things.  Thanks for inquiring about my health.  It's improving; I drove about ten miles today-still uncomfortable, but it felt great to get out for a  few minutes.  Thanks
for your thoughtfulness.  It is appreciated.
                   ~Sadie~

Marti,
Thank you for seeing the genius of the teacher!  My children were very fortunate to have her before she retired.
                  ~Sadie~

Martie,
And I think yours are eloquently told!
Thank you for your sweet comments.
                  ~Sadie~

muted,
Thanks for the responding icon.  Cute litte guy!  I'd like a 3-D action figure/copy of him to take to work.
                  ~Sadie~

Noah,
Now wouldn't an Inside-Out Day be a fun thing for everyone to do?
   Cute idea.
