Take Not This

it's the twist and bend;
the sight without
seeing ... where
you were the beat
one heart-breath away.
where blue is a dream
on the soul-stamp of forgiven.
coiled empathy melds into acquiescence.
impetuous need directs intent.
wantonly I pull you to the floor
mouth pressed to the, "you," of now.
...
Morpheus--take not this deception.
It's mine to dispute.
