march l8, 2004 the moment in the window box i stare with blank face washed in a sky of rain, i wonder how i came to be sitting here at this time, it is march, it is way too cold, it is a winter of longing, who is this shadow that sits here? when i have slipped off no longer feeling sewn to this world i wear, the ground is a pond of splashing sparrows rung by rainbows, the colors blend before me, surrounded in circles, they play like little ones unaffected by the shroud of divinity they wear, as i adorn them with halos, simply and tenderly the moment paints before me, i jump in among them, my reflection stares back at me thru the slice of the window, i am the rainbow, the rainbow is me, there is no need to think anymore. I get the distinct impression that calling you a child "Ink" would be an understatement Splashing in your wellies, jumping in puddles, looking for those pots of gold at the end of the rainbow years away Loved your words as usual Davey |
