Chiffon blows freely in the evening breeze To stir the slightest ebb of sunset to its knees Taupe in touch of ginger seems too still to lie In the last commencement of the days gone by Tablets set in stubborn etch succumb the tide Drifting in the surf another wave to ride Trimmed of dark organza into pillow talk Reaching through the starlight traced in pastel chalk Mood of beams that liken to a distant call Billows in the backdrop of a mighty fall Tickling each finger stretched to see by feel Poking into vapor molds a vacuum seal Silver threads that wisp along a fragile fine Skirted every notion there your hand in mine Looking into moonlight on a pulse of white Scenes to draw my smile in it’s ever light Copyright Kkh 3/19/04 |
