The cold seems not to care my door is closed,
And rushes in to brush against my skin,
It is as if my being is exposed-
To slivered ice which much to my chagrin
Pierces naked flesh- I shiver with its bite,
I do not like the cold,
It’s much too bold for one so old,
Not even knocking, or seeking of invite,
Just rushing in,
its evil twin,
the north wind blowing,
I best be going
Too cold to write,
Brrrrr-

The dial touches
minus 12
and the cold
is quick to delve
up under pants
and down the neck
when no amount of rants
will soothe such chill
The local forcast
says from Siberia
there will be more blast
and to -21 we'll drop
So I'll sip a warm cup
and before going to bed
the cozy we'll heat up
and find a beach to dream on

Brrrr, it's cold here in Florida tonight, too.
I know, it's not as cold as where you are, I'll bet.
It's supposed to warm up tomorrow. I sure am glad.

Come over here for a while this morning, -16 deg F... and that doesnt include the windchill from a 16mph wind!! Brrrrrrrrrr

Fortunately, my climate isn't quite as unforgiving... for my heater keeps throwing the breaker... I get to freeze or fear fire... though I'll admit my temper kept me warmed for a bit last night after getting shrugs from my apartment manager. *S*

I liked this very much... stay warm if you can! *S*
