Deep in the heart

I have a new career.  I am now a "Commodity Relocation Specialist."  That is an over-the-road trucker to the masses   If anyone had told me that I'd be doing that two months ago I would have told him or her they were crazy!

I went on the road for the first time a couple of weeks ago and traveled thru Texas, Arkansas, TN, KY, IN, OH, PA, VA, WV, MD, NY, MA, CT, NH, ME, DE, DOC, and NJ.  Whew!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Endless broken line
On unfolding black ribbon
Winding through beauty
Dilapidated
Barns cover the countryside
In old Tennessee
Picture postcard views
Of Amish farmhouses in
Pennsylvania
Kentucky blue grass
With frolicking young horses
Cavorting about
New England offers
Virgin snow and frozen ponds
For viewing pleasure
Unending toll roads
Long and lonely in stark Maine
Are uninviting
Crowding together
Of too many vehicles
In New York … Jersey
Driving the beltway
District of Columbia
Nerves on edge and frayed.
Western Maryland
Pristine farmland beckoning
In silent beauty
Finally back home
To the blue pages I love
And my friends therein
Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
It's good to see you Interloper!  You've done some traveling indeed.  I guess home never looks as good as it does when you're away from it.  I enjoyed the view from your window.
Welcome Home !
Dear Interloper you have been gone too long!
I am keepin' a bag packed just in case you
take to the roads again.
Just sweep by and pick me up -
I'm not bad at map-readin'
Hey loper, let me know when those wheels hit the ferry to the northern lights and year 'round glaciers...
it's a spectacular view you won't find on your regular relocation routes.
Good to see you again!
Next time you come around the PA/MD area..let me know...you are welcome to stop by.
hugs you
M ( I always thought that would be  an interesting job... but I am not too sure I could handle something that large)
HeyYou~
What a pleasure to find you'd hitched a ride into the pages blue~
Ever get down Florida way ... TOOT TOOT !
All good roads lead home
No matter how far you roam
Heartstrings reel you in
On the road to home again
Welcome home, dear poet friend~
I've got a nephew who has been long-haul trucking for several years now, just himself and his dog. I've told him he could write a book, but since he hasn't gotten around to it, I think you should.
Sunshine ~ You were always on my mind.
Martie ~ Quite a view it is, sometimes.
Seymour ~ Thank you my friend.
Chris ~ Now there's an offer I could never refuse.  Lemme see ... I COULD use a good navigator
Sadie ~ I think a first time to hear from you.  Thank you for taking time to read my offering.
Nancy ~  I have no doubt I shall soon have been "everywhere."  I hope I have the words to properly describe the sights to you
Earth Angel ~ Thank you very much ... and I shall try not to become grist ... rather to use it
Midnitesun ~ There is a rumor that we may soon be wending our way up the Alcan highway.  Keep a light on!
Maureen ~ If someone had told me two months ago that I would be driving one of those behemoths I would have sworn they were on something illegal!  Now I can parallel park 'em!
Marge ~ You just tell me where in FL and I will be sure to either stop by or call ... I promise!
Passing shadows ~ ditto!
Pilgrimage ~ I've been thinking along those lines, my friend.  Maybe a book of poetry ... whaddayathink?
