So this is how it feels in the end
Numb and aware at the same time
Lost a lover and worse, a friend
Faded from the photographs in my mind
It’s the ambivalence that haunts me most
How I’ve become my own transparent ghost

Never thought I would live to see this day
Used to spend hours writing of such a thing
While letting the words have all the play
Now the absence of feeling is the thing that stings
We both realize we’ve reached that point unintended
As we acknowledge now what has just ended

Numb and aware at the same time...

The inner sea is fed with the tears of the journey.

Hang in there. TD

Always used to feel that life goes upwards or downwards and there is a finite point when it does this.
