I remember days by the lakeshore Your eyes reflecting the restless waves Haunted was I like never before Much do I try to remember of those days Only memories though, and little comfort Not your arms or their tight embrace And the further I get from it, The more lines fade from your face I am left grasping at the empty air And even that blows away On the cold wind now there When I think of those days My loss is written in tears suppressed And heard in every single song Even happiness can depress, Knowing you are forever gone |

got a spare hankie? A beautifully written sad tune, I could hear a stifled sob. |

You expressed your loss so incredibly well, that I am able to feel your pain and sadness... Loving, healing hugs, EA |

The lakeshore is a familiar place...it's ritual uncertainty and restless grace... Well placed. Great write. TD |

Only memories though, and little comfort Not your arms or their tight embrace And the further I get from it, The more lines fade from your face so sad the loss you write of~ and yet so well understood! |
