+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

It is that time of year again,
When I am not myself,
My dresden skin, turns emerald green,
And I become an elf!

I have a taste for Irish beer,
And I shrink way down in size,
My ears and nose are pointy,
And I have green twinkly eyes.

My voice becomes quite lilting,
With a bonny little brogue,
I doff my little elfin hat,
And become a rascal rogue.

I trill, "Top o' the morning",
As I skip-de-doo my way,
Down the paths and garden walks,
'Cause it's St. Patrick's Day!

*laugh*

I grew up being told that St. Patrick's Day was only for "amateur" drunks.  This came from an uncle who died falling down drunk during the Parade.  For him it was the perfect way to go out.

For the hangover, try the standards of lots of water before you go to bed, extra doses of vitamin B1 the day before, and when you wake up (or come to) drink the Alka-Seltzer that says it is for "morning headaches" before you try eating any food.

"May the road rise up to meet you..."

Dear Box of Ice ~

Faith and begorrah! That was some story about the fate of your poor uncle! At least now he can drink as much as he want with no negative fall out!

Thank you for the hangover recipe! It could come in handy! Mind you, I drink virgin beer! lol

M ~

I used to celebrate it as well. My sister's son, Chad, disappeared without a trace on Lake Ontario, along with 5 of his friends, on March 17, 1995. St. Patrick's Day now brings painful memories...

Warm hugs,
EA
