Out Making Anticlines

                                                      Strand
here
         just
                 where
                          her
                        hair
                   touched....
                 a
              slender
                  strand
                          of
                             memory
                                       clings
                                              invisible
                                                    until
                                                    the
                                                      sun
                                                           reveals,
                                                                   and
                                                                  now
                                                                lit
                                                          with
                                                         the
                                                         almost
                                                             random
                                                                   colors
                                                                            of
                                                                            her
                                                                            It
                                                                         glows
                                                                     her
                                                               as
                                                            I
                                                        lift
                                                      it
                                                       up,
                                                           so
                                                               careful...
                                                                        at
                                                                            a
                                                                             whim
                                                                             my
                                                                           lips
                                                                      graze
                                                                  its
                                                     nothingness
                                                and
                                          she
                                       is
                                 there

I liked this, and it's very smart, graphical writing. Yeah, something like just a strand of hair, or the smell of hair can remind so much of someone.
Funny how the smallest things can capture someone perfectly.

That's a beautiful strand of poetry m'friend.

Beauty of the world which is soon to perish has two edges, one of laughter and one of anguish, cutting the heart asunder.

You paint love well.  It's good to read your words again.   Excellent!   (I wrote a poem a few weeks ago in which the meaning was completed through a cross-stitch design and
unraveling lettered words.  When I placed it on the screen, everything was out of order, ruining the poem.  Would you be willing to e-mail me to tell me your secret of keeping the font in place as orginally positioned on the screen?)   Take care, JAF.

A few years ago we did a lot of "graphical" writing and it's been awhile since I've seen a really great one.

This is a really great one.

"my lips graze its nothingness and she is there"

The visual impact this makes is so powerful it takes a moment to realize that the words in their delicate beauty are even more powerful. *S* This is stunning, my friend... a strand of pure loving perfection.
