Vaguely Alone
(A Triolet)

It's in the vague where I'll reside
for fear of letting friendship in.
Without the words I can't confide
the feelings hiding deep inside.
I'm left choking on swallowed pride
and the angst is begining to win.
It's in the vague where I'll reside
for fear of letting friendship in.

For a poem this sharp, I wonder where the vague came from

Yes I like it

this is perfect poetry. and by that i don't mean format...(though it is well done)... i mean, how it touches the senses and latches on to something inside of me.

Snow: its always a pleasure to have you come and comment, thank you so much.

Dear muted, perfectly shaped and carrying a message to ponder over …. Why are we so afraid? We fear disappointment, but the very fear could prove us right, so we better trust.
Your smile tells me that you can’t be lonely!
Love and hugs. Margherita

~ As a naval serviceman for the past 22+ years, I can completely relate to this poem. I have moved so many times that the vagueness is now imbedded into my being. Well written!

friendship , a strong subject to write about..the friends we make, the friens we lose, the friends who pass on, the friends who save your life when you least expect it, the world wouldnt go around if there were no friends , lets all be friends, for who knows what will happen in the end ....
life is too short to be picky lol ...Hugs
