+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

Weeping willows, so softly swaying,
Feathered fingers brush verdant lawn,
Sunny rays kiss misty rainbows,
When summer rains are gone.

Mighty oaks, with arms stretched upward,
Touch heaven's skies clear blue,
Glorious crowns of golden glory.
God's gifts for me and you.

There's beauty, bounty of great worth,
From Father Sky to Mother Earth.

Dear Linda, how very beautifully you expressed your love and gratitude for the gifts we receive from Above! I love this and I will keep it!
You reminded me of the solace a willow tree once gave me, when I couldn't sleep because of tremendous heat. Its branches were very close to the balcony and with the last energy I had I reached out for a branch and used it as a fan! Slowly ... while watching the stars I spent the night in its comforting company.
From one tree lover to another, a hug and a smile.
Love, Margherita

Margherita, 'tis an honor to know that you have saved this poem of mine!

I was touched by your personal willow story.

That was generous of you to say, however, I do believe that YOU are the "Sweet lady of gentle song"!

I checked out the link to your poem and was blown away by the beauty and magic of it. Thank you so much for that special gift of spiritual poetry!
