The Reason Theres a Why

When I expose my feelings something inside of me
tells me I won't be the same.
I read the morning news I get the longing blues
too many thoughts I can't explain.

Give me good news where can it take me
what can it do for me to make me a man.
The worst won't break me but never escape me
the rest can heal me and I can heal the rest.

When I see a moonbeam above a silent stream
like a vision in the night,
I see the wisdom I see the everything
I see the only peace in sight.
It's there I get thinking what makes it all so bold
when you're living the gift of life
those precious times glow Lord I'd like to know
where I'm going by good-bye.

Give me good news where can it take me
what can it do for me to make me a man
the worst won't break me never escape me
the rest can heal me I can heal the rest.

And if I stayed there I'd never get anywhere
but I can come back in time.
It's in that moonbeam it's in that silent stream
it's in the reason there's a why.

I recollect asking my father "why"...
Now?  I know.

Smiling.  Thank you.

Eric..this is such a wisdom filled, soulful write... I just love this ones humility and tenderness...
vulnerability wrapped in rhyme
excellent groovy guy.

(was at your homepage this morn..
you know where to find me, right?)

I am sure of my reasons, embracing the seasons,
and the sacred simplicity of you at my side.

"It's in that moonbeam it's in that silent stream
it's in the reason there's a why."

The questioning never stops. This is the way we are ... attracted by the mysteries, the why why why

And deep within, our soul knows.

This is beautiful and thought  provoking.
Love, Margherita

Eric,
You always put forth such wonderful and vast insight through your writes.  Always appealing, and well needed these days.
Liked this.

heartbeat heard

moonbeams reveal the real
appeal of the nightsky
a chance to take
an honest look back
at the day
