folded lace in patterns straight speaking volumes in tatted space words arise and form in place letters chat in livened fate made in far-off romantic lands styled in flakes of whitened span used to drape the winnowed fan tightly woven like summered sands etching coded meanings to unfurl seizing sight as soft-touched fur writing calligraphy of ashen burl inking notes my heart to stir tatted words to tell the tale of fairied dreams their thoughts regale |

TD and Iliana, thank you for reading and taking time to comment...my son and I were folding lace today (we bought it in Eastern Europe at a wonderful price) and he looked at it as we closed a fold, saying that it looked like words were on the lace...he meant the border, but I took it at first to mean the actual tatting...and from there my mind exploded...tatted words |
