Snacking at 4 A.M.

Waking up, the pounding
needing to be fed, once again.
So here I am snacking on your words,
darkness my friend and silence my comfort.

Not sure if I can ever readjust
to the warmth of arms and a kiss goodnight
and a body to share the shadows embrace...
For words have begun to fill the lack of.

I got there long before you did...nice to have you here (not that I don't hope you get arms and goodnight kisses...) but I'm with you...adjusting is hard...this place is easy

Strong, and poingant M...
sometimes, in the long-run, I feel that words are all we have..and the silences in-between.  ~P

I should be working on payroll at the moment and I am snacking, having put the machines on to do work on the last contract and low and behold, here I am eating moments of brilliance on the site

Terry Pratchett says in his books that writing is the most fun you can have alone.

Maybe he is right and maybe we are all our own judges of how we live.

LOL, had many nights like that. After moving back to Alaska from Colorado, and still readjusting to a time zone and altitude change, I'm often wide awake at 4AM.
