pearling notes
liquidity
gawd
he begged for clarity

dance sweet baby
dance for me
spinning
I am bass upright
in his hands so capable
dizzy with my eyes shut tight
present
not accounted for
stumbling across the stage
opening my eyes to see

I'm not a cello afterall

I had a friend, (insert forgotten name here), that played the upright...Mmm Mmm, She'd walk that thing all OVER the stage...Just SPANKIN it!

(uhm, I wanna say Violet..nah. Hair down to her ankles...She ran off with some Top Gun carrier pilot dude, moved to Guam.....Daisy? Nope. Maybe it WAS Violet)

Oh well, This took me there, instantly!

Damn!  This is one I want to get up and dance to..a slow deliberate sensual dance right down in front of the footlights.
Lady you sure can sing the blues!
Love ya!

I loved this poem. First, it's a beautiful write; second, I'm a bassist (not upright though, electric. I would like to study double-bass eventually) so it has special meaning. Thank you for making me evening.
