canvas blanked

wanting to die
but not quite able
swallows sanity

in waters swirl
brush paints erase

once gaudily inked
pain filled words

now softly bleed
into pastels

deluges have no
particulars

a little blue pill has
the canvas
blanked

Sometimes the colors hurt our eyes as much as the breath hurts the lungs... blank and numb are survival techniques. *S*

Or so I hope? *S*

I feel this one to the bone, my friend... and admire your ability to write it. *S*

I'm so sorry life has taken such a hard turn for you!  It's tough to get through, but one of these days, you will feel better.
I've been where you are and know what it's like!  Saying prayers for you.

The strength of this poem is in how it reflects the tenacity of its writer...someone who can put words in a form such as this will survive, The pain here is not surfactant, it is felt deeply in the way the words are laid out in solemn steps...Yet unwavering, to me a sign of intense love and true bravery...which (also to me) is not acting without fear in a bad situation, but being afraid and still being able to function...May whatever God you believe in bless you with continence of that ability....

Honey, some of them blue pills have left my mind blank......You're a strong lady, I know that, I've seen the muscles in your legs and have heard your mind at work...you bad...and sweet, and so damn good looking....you know Toe's thinking about ya....(not just your mental well being, but erotically too)
