Dichotomy The question is, and of this I’m sure Is whether I want to know any more? Because if I ask will the answer be A reply I’d rather not hear given to me So do I shut my eyes and ignore the pain And get on your treadmill once again Or do I stop and turn my eyes away From a game that I don’t want to play This situation leaves me quite bemused I can’t help but admit I’m very confused What is it that you really want from me? Something or nothing, because frankly I’m lost in a mist, a maze of despair The way you treat me is really unfair You treat me as if I’m yours, but I’m not But if I walk, I’d lose all that I’ve got Truth, is it subjective? Well let us see It is, if as you say, you see it differently But what I saw, and what I thought Makes me see a truth of a different sort You say one thing but I see in your eyes That your words hold a different disguise I see you and my mind goes awry Then I break down and again I cry Dichotomy that’s my life in a nutshell With or without you I’m living in hell Marsha Tomorrow is another day I don't know what it holds |

Go with your first instinct dear Marsha. Never stay in a situation that you are unsure of. You deserve true love and happiness. hugs, Chris "At one glance |

If I go around today acting more air-headed than usual, I'll blame you. *S* For I swear you've been picking my brain! *S* (I know, I know... if you'd tried, you would have found slim pickings. *G*) This painful piece of quandary is excellent, my friend... I especially like the second verse... and the ending! *S* |

I would hate to speak out of turn. This is a lovely poem for an all-too-common situation. You, my dear, are far from common. Never let someone take you for common, or for granted. Ever. Nan (Pilgrim variety) |

Common! You! Never! Now that I see it I get it, I really do. Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
