I wish for the forever
the one to make our time together last,
to say all those unsaid words
of moments past.

I wish to hold your hand,
look eye to eye your brown, mine hazel
to wonder why
others say we look alike
when really we are so different on the outside.

Maybe they see more than we do...
and as the time nears
I fear that I won't be the staunch "holdup",
the one to keep it together for us
by laughing at jokes that don't really
seem so funny to me now.

Stuck here in my moment,
I think too much, about yesterday,
and tomorrow...today not even in mind.

I see the warmth in the air and the sun
touching my soul, energy trying
to seep into my skin
and my heart wishing for a touch of same.

I wish for the forever
and someone to share it.

Time goes by so slowly, and love seems so elusive when we are stuck in a moment.
