Her death was like a pounding On the door of my heart Trying to open me up But failing to tear me apart His death was like a pounding Another knock to open me But it won’t work I tell you Leave my broken heart be I’m happy in this void Chosen among fifty states I’m not the kind who shares Who vents, who relates The reason the door is closed Is so I can hide this pain So stop knocking now please Never come back again! |

Sorry, I just don't believe you -- because you show too much expression in your poetry, your heart door is open! Good writing, even if I don't believe it. However, I have to add that when it comes to death -- sometimes, some of us do shut it out as a self defense, I agree. |

I've been there... But by about the fifth death, it being the hardest and most painful, I finally changed a bit... Now I'm just honest about how much life sucks. So, for one who doesn't relate... sorry to say, we do  Loved the poem. Always, Alyssa He was a man of sorrows |

now that I read this again tonight after finding out the news of a good friend's terminal illness, it has a different meaning to me  I'll be saying "stop knocking" too. |
