Circle Within the belly of happiness throbs the ark of life There is no anger or fear…but an assertive conversation Not leaving me on the outside…letting me in deeper & deeper Until my whole being becomes accountable Driving me home…leaning towards golden wheat Of nothing, yet…all that exists, gathering the Unused hours…like a scavenger of the dumb I never minded, nor will ever…. The surge of one electrifying pulse through a cable Lights the light and remains there…coloring imagination Where we live in reality and sweet dreams Dawn streatches beyond the horizon…smiling at thoughts Releasing like fledglings of a frontier…reaching for me Standing me in a place….gleaming like silver Encompassing all…asovereignty filling my cup with Amazing proportions…splashing life at me…like a child My soul…becomes the candle of essence, eternity Secrets…you know the ones…those sounds which echo from Stars, kissing our infancy….gathering smiles Of a forming path…saying…you are welcome…and I cannot Tell the elation inside…the bliss of desire has been fed For from that desire, came an understanding…a knowledge of Freedom…something that was knocking at my door for years And all I had to do was open it….now my veins explode With molten lava…penetrating the cause, screaming…love And somehow I know he’s there, in every waking hour Breathing into my sleep…what was before me and now walks with me Depicting beauty in each morsel of failure…light reflects But…nothing can assume faith…lest it be faith itself….and perhaps all is obsolute without rules The innocence of which I’m capable…I will never forgot that power Weeping tears of joy at remembering, the chance to know those pearls of life I’m back where I started…before I left me… |

Lee, I am in awe at the wisdom and beauty ringing in your poem. I was first taken by: "Within the belly of happiness throbs the ark of life" This reminded me of pleasant Quaker experiences, where we spoke of or I read somewhere of "God being in the belly." Thanks for your wonderful imagery that allows the reader to venture out, filling in their own blanks, as well as inviting the reader to be right there with you. You have a unique talent, Lee. Sadie |

the honest description introspection bouncing from mundane to the most important questions each pummels her or himself with literally forces to say This is quite good My compliments "High on the Mountain, where the Sun stil Shines, and the water runs a little lazy." |
