You could tell,
as they promenade
on this blessed february morn,
as i swear i heard the robin's
premature window song,

you could tell,
as they huddle together
keeping warm, as the streams of sun
reminiscent of september's fall,
are just temporary reprieve of winter afterall,

you could tell,
as they watch with awe,
the cloud formations that morph together
changing faces and places, that parallel
the waves beneath, as they rise and fall,

or see their smiles at the shoreline's panarama,
in childlike wonder of the littered shells,
as they're captured in a bird's view
from the boardwalk's crowded floor,

you could tell,
the ones that have surpassed
victoriously, both the rainbows and the storms,
in a shroud of almost holy light, as the sun
forms a canope round them on this amber dawn,

you could tell,
the joyous ones looking head on
in the face of tomorrow, meeting eyes,
unified, in the splendor of such simple morn,

from the ones sitting the fence
of procrastination and indecision,
biding time, waiting for signs
feeling weary, weathered and torn.

*****could YOU tell? which side the blonde sits at, afterall?     ****************

What is that statement...?
something about a book
and it's cover?

Show and tell...
or just tell as it is.

I enjoyed this very much, Michelle...

sounds like someone has been outside looking in for a very long time!

just my opinion, .... I, myself, have been in the grass below the fence looking for the early worm .... there is always tomorrow!

excellent.

Excellent write. Enjoyed.   Chris
