Coco the Cat

I once had a pet named Coco the cat,
Whose sole goal in life was to grow very fat.

She sat around purring and scratching the chair
Leaving behind great deposits of hair.

She’d walk around knocking things down with her tail,
Then off like a flash she’d be gone without fail.

Coco the queen, with her elegant grace,
Would do what she’d want, anytime any place!

And if you took time to stroke her a bit,
She’d bite at your hand and throw  a big fit!

Well Coco’s now better and quieter yet,
She’s grown very calm and is now a nice pet.

Those old days of biting and scratching are over,
Now she’s content to just roll in the clover.

I’m really not sure why old habits got nixed,
But she’s been really great ever since she got fixed!

Well, this was an extremely fun read...from a cat lover's point of view. I must say I was beginning to believe she was pushing up daisies rather than rolling in clover. Glad she was successfully "repaired."

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

You just managed to write about ALL of my cats in one poem. I enjoyed it.

This is fantastic! I love it all the way through. (I think I know a few people who could use being calmed down some-can you give me your vet's name?

(giggles in delight) Awwwwwww, those little hairballs can be such frisky lil' rascals but I truly love their free spirits and I believe we all need just that on those kind of lazy days! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, Coco sounds like such an adorable kitty, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet David, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
