A Metaphors Ode

I call my ode a metaphor
And hold my load below in store
Wrapped in dup and tea bag style
To make a cup of healthy wile

To this I add a spoon or two
To sweeten up this wile of brew
And sip it in a nights repast
To light the lights within my past

For there I find fraternity
Having tea with sympathy
Discussing all the do’s and don’t
And even bringing up a won’t

From there I walk a rainbow road
With my lass and kiss a toad
Bring to life the unforeseen
Collect it like a whales baleen

And with the essence of this brew
I give my vow again to you.

Seymour....I'm not too sure about "kissin' toads".....but you are certainly a "prince" of a poet. Enjoyed. Cinnamon toast with tea. hugs, Chris

Good morning, Seymour
I'm like Chris, I don't know about kissing a toad.
But, yes, you are a prince, kind sir.
Have a good day!!
