Time's Path....Walked |

Time travels a dusty road, through valleys, plains, Desert hills, white tipped mountains…waters clear And pure, awaiting a taste, a tender sip. Yet, though these travels seem so cherished, between Each lies the potholes of life, the closet where mistakes Lie dormant, awaiting a faint knock of one’s conscience To bring them back into the world, that we might dwell Again, once again on that which burdens our hearts and Wearies our brow. So often, as runners race the track of life, as breath is ragged,so often we stumble, we fall, we sometimes fail to achieve, to cross that finish line. I lie upon the cindered ground, my hand reaching out, stretching to feel the chalk...that I might finish. For there are times I am afraid. Times I desire not to Stand within the stadium lights and judge myself as Others stand and judge me. For, I judge most harshly, And my goals, set so high, sometimes dizzy me, as I stand teetering on the edge…awaiting my finish… As time walks effortlessly, beckoning me to come, To have the courage needed as each new day brings again the trials... |

a really great metaphor on life I stand teetering on the edge…awaiting my finish… As time walks effortlessly, beckoning me to come I could actually vision Time's face and outstreached arms...very descriptive it is however, still a great walk down time's path...regardless of the stepping stones...where would we be without them...who would we be, and how would we see things? |
