Believe Me I often rise in mellow tones Above these sallow aging bones Catch a moonbeam by a tale And harpoon a symbols whale And sometimes do a mental jig Often eat an Eden’s fig Seem a wile beyond my cope Inject a dream just like dope She waits for me in Samarkand A lovely place in wonderland A place of flowers just to woo An Ivy tower just for two. And I am I Sir Lancelot The one and only of begot That hangs his heart upon her door And vows to her forever more It’s a whale of a tale a coup A whale of a sail for two |
