The Neutral Liquidity Of Time Copyright 2004 by: Mark V Sheldon Memories ebb while life laps at the feet blushing them with cold reality dirt washed away replaced by naive bubbles which burst inevitably by design Imprints of paths taken dilute, dissolve, then disappear at the turn of the tide for the force knows no other way It’s a short distance between an hourglass of sand and a sunny beach submerged by the moon’s weighty smirk but the light still reflects a pattern Flotsam experiences float up to taunt then pull back again in predictable cycles under toe and undertaking Yet we still wait for the ship to come in on the seventh wave forgetting we lost the count a long time ago You CAN make a difference: |

"It’s a short distance between an hourglass of sand and a sunny beach submerged by the moon’s weighty smirk but the light still reflects a pattern" I love the ending too |

loved the lines: "a sunny beach submerged by the moon’s weighty smirk" such vivid imagery...such a neat way to express the natural sovereignty of the moon over the ebb and flow of the tide and all that that particular metaphor affords |
