The defensive wall has broken. No more protective shield. Nothing left to stop it. The power will not yield. I feel so exposed now, so out in the open, watching it get closer, waiting for it to happen. Will it be pain free? How long will it last? I'm not sure I can handle the powerful blast. There is nothing I can do, not sure I want to hide. I won't show that I am scared. I have to much pride. It is almost here now. I think I will surrender. It's stronger than I thought, this love I feel for her. All critism is welcome, feel free to hurt my feelings. You know, I've noticed I dont like my writing as well as I did when I was younger. I'll repost an old poem I had here a few years ago so everyone can see the difference. |
