Even in my ups and downs
you are always there for me
When a happy smile I cease to wear
my heart you seem to see

My many moods come breaking through
at times when I least expect
My self control I work to have
to keep my self respect

My world I am living in here below
has much worries and problems
I might be better off if I just would not
be trying to always help solve them

But it seems to be that is how I am
it may be too late to change
If you will just promise to be there for me
my thoughts I will attempt to rearrange

So when my family and friends
their burdens with me they will share
If we will forever be there for each other
together all problems we shall bear
