Love? Ah, such a catch-all phrase-
Addiction’s probably true
No matter where I am, or go-
I suffer thoughts of you.

Thoughts of things that might have been.
And things that never shall.
Even when I try to sleep,
Through dreams you quietly prowl.

Begone, my love, oh, spirit flee-
I have to get my sleep…
Instead of pacing night and day,
As minutes slowly creep.

JOhn, this was really well written. I've said it before about your poetry -- it could be a song -- your work always has such good rhythm and rhyme.

i too
go through many sleepless nights
to find a heart and soul
that brings back the lights
an answere to my thought
happiness you have brought
