Pause Sometimes a thought can ease the pain, Sometimes a moment can comfort the thought And once in a while a drink will kiss your frown, Making reality disappear and ghost reappear. A Spring day will make you young again After the Winter ages the spirit--- We strive to reach the top of the ladder But what do you do, when you find the bottom at the top? Pause A moment in time for reflection, Sleep and converse with God For dreams mirror reality--- Reflecting the intimate thoughts of the soul. Sometimes it takes tears to water Eden’s flowers Sweet waters from the rivers of the heart To quench the thirst of sorrow. Pause Love is repetitious, It travels like the wind upon the leaves That grow brittle when embraced by time, This experience hardens like the memory of a man And it will take the purest love to soften his heart. Can you imagine the sun forever shining on the future And the night never darkening the past? Is it true that love ripples like the waves of the sea, Reflecting the moon’s searching beams into eternity? Pause Someday, we all will face our own reality But will we all be able to stand up to ourselves first? Don’t be afraid, open your eyes and look into the mirror, Wipe the tears from your reflection And love Gods greatest creation. Marcel |
