you-- silent like midnight-- slithered into my heart attached yourself onto the cusps of the valves those which kept me alive-- made yourself an integral part of my life then you (foolish wicked bitter you) ripped yourself away left me helpless hopeless lifeless dying, simply, for a lack of you you left gaping holes in my heart bleeding and raped by the infection of jilted love too soon lost take advantage and leave love 'em leave 'em the jist of your philosophy i will overcome you bandage my heart with my own wisdom my own courage my own need to believe in something bigger than you-- to believe in myself Enjoy what you can, endure what you must. -Goethe |
