In stillness of the moonlit night, The moment moves in minute scale As shadows strain their souls’ delight. Heavens store the plundered plight As moon spears cast their timely pale In stillness of the moonlit night As shivered cold from lucid flight When shafts of quivers do assail As shadows strain their souls’ delight. The orbs of nocturne’s eyes alight To cast the grays of cloudless shale In stillness of the moonlit night. When love is strained through mettle bright, Hearts are shaded soft in promised veil As shadows strain their souls’ delight. Bequeath yon lovers there in silked moonlight The ecstasy of hope that doth prevail In stillness of the moonlit night As shadows strain their souls’ delight. |

Steavner -- you are braver than me, indeed. One of the days, I might try it but it seems difficult to write villanelle. I enjoyed this! |

iliana...yeah...I've been shying away from this format forever...but I got to thinking...if I write just 2 lines, I will have 10 done...and I was just lazy enough to go from there |

Moonlight is very romantic, and even more romantic through your words... I thought this fit perfect with your poem! Happy Valentines' Day! ~ARH love and hugs Open your eyes, open your mind, open your heart, let me come in and show you love.....~ARH |
