Light's Afternight Smoking fingers reash up to the sky Releasing black clouds over blue eyes. They cover the beams of an angel light called stars, So light sacred candels to show who we really are. Let us meet on the Dark side of the moon And bleed shadows to the beat of this tune. We'll hang by the moon from gravity's noose, Dangling our feet, trying to break loose. If we ever get away from the smokestacks here, I'll hold you closer and gently whisper on your ear. Take my hand when the temperature drops lower And we'll start friction fires as it gets colder. Stay warm, stay near, quiet forms and also tears; Stay 'wake, stay here, hands quake but so do fears. I'll watch burning stars and airplanes with you, The flames around your eyes spurn the world anew. What words of wonder keep love inside tonight? What matches write those words inside the light? Stay my beloved night beside my arm So these fitful dreams may stay us from harm. now im alone, but not lonely like before |
