Caskets Burning Shadows stand defiantly, Cast from burning caskets. Those symbols on a rocky hill Show that deth has no hold on us. Feeling betrayed by life Is the only lie you believe And a broken cross Is the only truth you never knew. Dance in circles around the world, Singing their songs in reverse. Now the past despair sends ripples Of hope into our veins again. Come out of the flames And leave your tomb's door open. The casket is cinders to Him, Ash when the tomb was vacated. Feeling betrayed by life Is the only lie you believe And a broken cross Is the only truth you never knew. Don't believe in your lies That tonight the light is gone, But rather your eyes have closed And blinded your vision again. |

Yes, there are a lot of "religious" connections. I'm a christian, so much of what I believe to be true flows into my writings. |
