Standing In Silence...

The shadows seem frightening,
To your paranoid mind,
Yet they hold that feeling,
-Comfort-
That you’re so used to.
They’re your only companions,
They dance along the wall,
Laughing at you,
Playing tricks upon your mind,
They care nothing for you.

You Crumble.

Your sobs are heard,
Throughout the house,
But no one comes to save you.
The shadows won’t rescue you,
Because once again,
They’re laughing at you,
At your weaknesses,
At your vulnerability,
At your shame…
You once sought refuge,
In those very shadows,
But now…even they…
Have betrayed you.
There is nothing left.
