I Always Cry At Endings

the city eats
him alive
when the countryside
unfurls its
miles upon miles
onto him
and he falls
for the girl
with a song worthy name
she wishes she were
a work of fiction
and he is willing
to turn to the pages
for her
the last sentence
of
her final chapter
is read aloud
"when the sun
explodes
all over my sky,
only then
will i become
your destination."

Hmm... I dont really know what to think. I like that about poems. They make ya think outside the box, a place i have become familiar with. Nice write.

sigh...I know the feeling, I'm such a cry baby when it comes to any sweet sad endings. This was very touching and very...whats the word...bittersweet? sounds good! I really enjoyed it.
