fake twinkle in my eyes do you hear the screams from the pit? the pit of my heart Do you feel the trembling of my hands? As they grasp your trust Do you really want to pull the pain from me? I won't let it go Black eyes only shine from the contacts They really are so dark And my blue fingers, so cold from neglect But what should they feel? I've smothered my hopes in my tear-soaked bed But these tears are my hope One last thought before my mind shuts One second of peace before i close You never notice the tears drawn on my face But you can't wipe those away anyway You think you've broken through to my insides But all you've found is my emptiness I'll drink in this skin and bones mindset And hide behind closed doors again I'll live and die more times than the scars on my arms can count But somehow i'll come back to be tormented again Copper tones only shine in fading sunlight And i shut out the sun too Light burns my pain and shows me what i am Thats why i hide from even the moon thats why i hide from you though i'm plainly seen Don't leave me alone...not this time now im alone, but not lonely like before |

From what i get from this poem i think i can relate. I like the part: ~I will live and die more times than the scars on my arms can count.~ That line stood out the most to me. But thats just me. I love your poems. This one maybe a favorite, atleast till you write another. ~Vampire Kisses I want a relationship i can finally sink my teeth into.~ Alexander Sterling |
