Standing In Silence...

You wish so badly,
For you tears to dry,
But still you cry on.
The pain won’t seem to subside,
It simply keeps aching,
Never allowing you to feel happy.
Just the emptiness inside you,
That is your only company,
While you lie awake in fear.
The fear that you’ll never again,
Find someone to heal your hurt,
Someone to fill that void.
With your pillow drenched,
And your body exhausted,
The dark thoughts surface again.
“Why does this always happen to me?”
“Why I am so lost?”
“Will I ever find love?”
“Will it leave me if I do find it?”
So cautious in every move you make,
Paranoia starts to set in.
“What’s happening?”
“Is everyone against me?”
“Am I hated?”
You’ll never know the answers,
Unless you take the first step,
To find them.
