Okay forgive me for being gone so long; women will do that to ya. I'm sure some people can relate to this piece, my latest. Got questions, just ask. The night is young as I am reminded But tonight the age seems too brittle Existence passing in each silent hour My only wish is that it will never end. A smiling moon helped ease this evening Perhaps a couple prayers as well In subtle conversation we talked of school Times of confusion and then none at all. Stories of friendships and lost relationships Surronded by lockers; broken pencils Our remembrances of freshmen laughter Hallway chases with tennis balls. Year two without a skip in life's rhythm Little boys by the name I can't remember Games of Risk with people's hearts A chance for confession better left alone. One more summer down to another try Thoughts of a future with or without Car wrecks, frustrated plans in question Decisions of change for long time friends. The final straw drawn into senior year Graduating, essays, and good byes Pictures to help keep it forever Desperately searching for the words to say. Now everything is over except us Close friends enduring through love Hope is all we own in life's cruel grip Will we return to this talk for something more. Kisses, hugs, romantic evenings All in one summer night?? |
