Pocket change for an hour of pleasure Yesterday is just a mark in your date book, A little slash, little number in the corner. You only think of what you never took, Wanting more, more of that elusive love. Counting the cost by the hour, You’ll miss it, miss the feeling of a real kiss. The rent you paid for this flower Defiles her, she gives what she must to live. I hope you feel the pain of guilt Strong inside, waste away with your sinner’s taste. Listen to the church bells sing of spilt Innocence, take care now to be the one who’s ware. Today is just another pursuit for you, Selfish thoughts, but distraught when you’re caught. Take another grab for endless cash too, Endless trash, it’ll burn when you take your turn. How many “todays” are coming? Three, four, one, maybe none? Think about what you’re fronting, Kept secret, do you strive to be alive? As you put on your tie again, Look nice; hide your hideous inside, But change saves you in the end, Remember how blind men see better than you and me. This is your life, are you who you want to be? now im alone, but not lonely like before |

strong words and even stronger emotions. I detect a hint of cynicism...thats a good question something that I'm not sure I could answer at the moment. I liked this piece, actually could be one of my favorites from you. ~Live and Laugh~ Because of you I laugh a little harder, smile a little more, and cry a little less |
