I posted this poem a while ago, but I thought that I would post it again. I felt this way toward a good friend of mine and I am now having feelings toward another guy who is a good friend of mine. I was reading this and it reminded me all about how hopeful I got and then the hopelessness I felt after I found out he didn't like me.... anyway... here it is. --------------------- Confusion fills my mind As I sort through Other people’s comments and My own feelings. I don’t know what to think When people say you like me. It seems too good to be true, That someone like you, Could have feelings for Someone like me. I look at facts and here-say, Which tells me it could be true. I can’t break down my wall And believe it just yet, Because everytime I do, I end up picking up the pieces of My broken heart and I can’t believe that it won’t happen again. Although confusion overwhelms me, I see what is happening And I realize that I could get hurt, But I open my heart to you anyway. |
