12:40 its getting late
I wish sleeping was an easy release
But the pull you have on me
Keeps me thinking, thinking of you

Don’t I wish that I could just tell you
But my lips are sealed and cold
My mind is full of dreams
And only dreams
For you are out of reach

My hands are numb and lonely
What comfort would become of them with one touch
But dreams are almost supernatural
Existing only in our minds and wishes
Wishes never come true
I have tried only a thousand times

Each time held a secret
My only truth of which no one will ever know
But time is punishing and painful
The longer these truths are never spoken
The longer my lips will be cold

i really liked it, i lked the whole lips being cold thing. it was a great poem...good stuff!!

i dig this poem. it makes me want that special person in my life even more. the out of reach part i can relate to...isnt that some crazy bs. i like it. write some more!

Thanks everyone...i am so happy that you like my poem....i wrote this about one of my best friends that i secretly love but i can't tell him for so many reasons....so i really appreciate your input.

i also have a best friend who i have loved for 3 years and always will, but i am to afraid to ruin the freindship and tell him the truth. great write i really like it.

Very well written piece. I really love this.
Especially the lines, "my mind is full of dreams, and only dreams, for you are out of reach." And, "wishes never come true, I have tried only a thousand times."
