I wish I were what you wanted out of life A care giver, lover, friend and wife I wish I could be there to help carry your load Let you know you’re not alone and that my shoulders have room for whatever you want me to hold I wish I could be the friend you call to when you’re feeling down I wish I could be the one who you needed to always be around I wish we could talk about serious things and silly things while holding hands and relaxing on a swing I wish you would whisper very close to my ear the deepest feelings you have for me I wish that when you look at me in your eyes I would see respect, love and want I wish I could come see you whatever time I want I wish that you could see that you are my world The chocolate in the middle of my vanilla swirl In my life is where you belong I hope me thinking like this isn’t wrong You’re the root to my tree, the stars in my sky The first guy to make me feel special and not want to cry You make me feel beautiful and sweet So I know what’s going to be up when our bodies meet You see we have our own song that our bodies will groove to Time will stop and there will be only us two Our souls will fuse together and ultimately become one And at this point I will no loner WANT to run But settle down in you and let myself be free Even though it may not be for eternity You see we have very separate lives and to each his own is what we know But after meeting you, knowing, touching, and holding you My soul will never again be alone My life for that matter will never again be the same You were my match My strengths where I was weak The reason I smiled, laughed or even speak And if we never meet again and this is truly the end You changed my life I wish we could be what we need for each other with out holding back I wish you could look past the obvious and let your self be free To explore all the things that you want with me I wish you were as ready as I But I guess I shall live in want as I see you pass by Its like wild stars seeking midnight’s sun with the passing of something real as the morning comes |
