i dont remember if i've posted this or not.. so eh

I’ve shaken the witness
My life is 100% truthless
I have them eating from my trembling, callused palm
They look up, wipe their mouths, they look at me calm
Believed everything I said, I think
My word’s a faucet, their mind’s a sink
They return later to continue the feast
Like carrion crows, they’re all just ravenous beasts
They don’t care whether it’s alive or if it’s dead
They just eat eat eat until all has been said
On my behalf, I think I’ve run out of lies
To tell the crows, my friends, I’m all out of sighs
To use and pause as I think of a solution
To questions that I made too full of pollution
Contaminated with my lies they look nearly pristine
Except for that little chip in the glass at the edge of the screen
That’s where I hide my lies, the truth is finally out
I give up. To the roof I do shout
I’m a liar, a thief and not a great kin
A politician, a senator, an Emperor, and sin
It’s a tragedy that I should have met you
I ruin lives, not save them, I am the anti-glue
That breaks people apart, not brings them together
You thought I saved a relationship. I did it as a personal endeavor
To test my power over the race of mankind
To alter people, to control them, and all with my mind
I am not the good-hearted, savior that you have proclaimed
I’m just a dictator, a cruel ruler, which I myself ordained
Crowned myself as the ruler of you all
You were an extension of my will; a servant always on call
I used you like the hunter used his spear
To kill you before you kill me, and simply out of fear
Were you even ever going to kill me?
I’m not too sure. I can’t really see
Maybe you weren’t my enemy after all
I betrayed you anyways; the epicenter of my fall
I made a mistake, I won’t do so again. Look! My torso does bend
My nose to the floor in apology; can you once again be my friend?

Hi gozaggss,

I think you have posted this but let me just say that I love this poem as much now as I did than! I think you did a more than excellent job on it.

Thanks for sharing this with us, again, I appreciated the reminder of it

"I pray thee, O God, that I
may be beautiful within."
