You've told me that you loved me But I've heard it all before I've been through the pain of it And I’m not listening anymore You swore that you were different Than all the other guys Said for me to trust you Just look you in the eyes But I was still afraid That you would break my heart And make me fall for you Then tear it all apart You said you'd never leave me Through good times and bad Even when I was unsure About all the love we have I thought about what you said For many sleepless nights I prayed to God above Hoping you were right Then one day I realized Even if it could mean pain You couldn't get the rainbow Without a little rain So I let myself fall for you Slowly, taking time Until one day I knew That you would always be mine Patiently you waited Until I was convinced That you were my only love And have been ever since So now, I’m ready to say What I was afraid to say before That baby, you were right I couldn't love you more |
