In the flicker of candle light I can see the questions in your eyes And it kills me because I dont have the answers Your voice sounds so sad Like you gave up on life But that cant happen Because its all I can ever care about At he same time I can hear a tinge of hope in your voice So even if I cant find it, I know theres a reluctant hope With a storybook ending, where everything will be okay Even though you hide your emotion That sets you aside from all the rest I can see it in your smile And I can hear it in your words So scream out all your anger That will bleed away the pain In this storybook life |

"In the flicker of candle light I can see the questions in your eyes And it kills me because I dont have the answers" This poem was very good. It's not my favorite by you but I did enjoy it. I absolutly loved the first stanza. It explains knowing something's wrong and not being able to do anything about it. A situation I find myself in often. Great job. ~heather~ Desire nothing except desirelessness. Hope for nothing except to rise above all hopes. |
