Belief in Love What’s it like to be in love? What’s that feeling everyone talks about But I have yet to experience? I seem to be the only one without someone So I’m the one they call “lonely” They say it’s an awesome feeling To be in love To have someone whom you care for above all else And to know that the feeling is mutual To know that there is always a pair of warm arms to return to And someone to be everything to you But I wouldn’t know For love doesn’t know me So I’m left to wonder Who my “reason to live” is Who will I spend eternity with Who have I been praying for Who this enigma they call “love” is I’m left with only the belief that I will know him someday And be his everything While he is everything to me I hope to find love one day Though he is being rather elusive at the moment I will not give up faith For happiness comes to those who believe And I’m a believer ~~Poetry is written emotion~~ |

Hi greysolace, Amazing write! I like how it kind of starts out sad with "where is my love?" yet builds you up towards the end. Gives the poem a feeling of hope, of waiting expectantly and knowing what you are waiting for is coming. Excellent job with this poem. The ending two lines, I think it's two, have to be my favorite, especially where you say, "and I’m a believer" to me that was just an awesome way to put an ending to your poem. Kind of wraps the whole poem together with a strong ending. Great job on this poem, it was a pleasure to read @-->--- |
