You left me for him,
and that's the way I see it.
Neither of us thought you would,
but to his bait, you went and bit.
You know you've ruined what we had,
I can see it in your eyes.
And while I tried to save it,
you stood back to watch it slowly die.

What you've done could be forgiven,
because I still love you.
But you've gone and left a scar,
and that you can never undo.
You've betrayed me in the deepest way,
a girl could possibly manage.
I suppose some of it's my fault,
for giving you such an advantage.

So before you walk down that hallway,
and back into his trend,
I'll ask you just one question:
how could you do that to your best friend?

I liked this one, mostly because I can relate to it better than a lot of things i've read of late... I'm sure a lot of us can relate.

At first I wasn't sure what you were talking about, how this whole thing fit together, but with the last stanza it was a perfect ending. It wrapped all the loose "threads" that were left togther, made the whole poem work. It was an awesome job on your part!

I can't wait to see more from you once again

if it was the other-way-around, like, it was about a guy going, then i could completely relate to this..its defiantly one of your best, that i've read. i really really REALLY loved it..I don't know why{not that its bad..lol} but it really seems great to me..im in this weird mood, but anyway, even if i wasn't, i would love it still..great write..
