Knowing love is knowledge of pain
a pain so profound and almost contradictory
feeling like in one moment it can rip you to pieces
yet it's all that keeps you going
it's how you know you're still alive
Losing love is a trip through the emptiness
the nothingness that is all around you
feeling that you belong to the pain
as it etches itself deep in your soul
but leaving shimmers of hope
     in knowing it exists
Letting love walk out of your life is death
like a disease that drains everything from you
   hopeless and lost aimlessly
knowing the greatest part of life is no more than a shadow in your past
left empty and dead in life
cursed for being foolish
  Loving is salvation
it is the life that breaths in all of us
it's what really rips us to pieces
   ripping away all the facades
extracting every hidden emotion
left consumed by a mysterious joy
             keeping us from going cold
keeping us            from going numb

Life is a torment and torment an enigma. So burn the shackles of slavery and let love run free
-partially from " Slave of Love" by:  Me.

Hey Kaos,

Once again you’ve written an excellent piece of work!
I enjoyed some of the … dare I say examples? You gave in this were something that really had to be thought about, it wasn’t a quick read, post, and run thing, and I enjoy that it wasn’t. I believe this poem will make the readers really think about what they read. It sort of draws you in when you first begin reading it, because you wouldn’t believe at first glance that in knowing love you know pain, the way you put that was perfect, made me want to keep reading more…

Anyway, what I’m trying to say was great write, and no, not just great write great write I tell everyone, but Great Write! It was such a pleasure to read…

Thanks for sharing

Thanks :-) i've been in a kind of lovey mood... i found someone i enjoy being around but don't get to see her often so i've been in a love lock with my thoughts... it's a nice change for me to have some more 'happy' pieces so to speak. I always love the support from you all though.

Thanks again,
Mike
